The venue has been hosting weddings since 1995. The original owner had a love for all things vintage and built a beautiful Victorian-inspired home on the 7+ acres of property. The tobacco barn which is original to the property is a welcoming sight as you enter to see the pond, main house, and the wedding grounds. Now under new ownership, Covington Gardens has updated and expanded while staying true to its vintage feel.
The Wilhelm Family purchased Covington Gardens in the Fall of 2021. They were enamored with the beauty of the property and instantly saw a vision on how to make a spectacular venue. By landscaping the grounds guests are now able to see Carter Pond from any direction. The addition of The Garden Pavilion gives guests the ability to have their events rain or shine and Hansen House has two suites for getting ready. After spending 2022 renovating the property they now are excited to show you all Covington Gardens has to offer.
I am the owner of Covington Gardens. I have always loved a good party. I threw a masquerade ball in my parents' backyard for my 17th birthday and invited well over 300 of my classmates. I like to go big or go home and in my mind, nothing is too big to imagine or accomplish. After a career change from events & promotions at a Fortune 500 company to social media marketing, the planner in me missed events and seeing them come together. So when the opportunity to own a wedding venue came up, I was all in. I have always loved weddings, helping my friends plan their perfect day and seeing everything come to life. I have two adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that are always up for a meet and greet when you tour our property. The oasis we have created at Covington Gardens is something special. I am so excited for our couples to experience its magic on their wedding day!
